Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the only children to Romanian actor Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the world of show business early, and ended up playing lead roles in different TV dramas before she reached the age of 16. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film), was critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra is known for her participation in a variety of notable projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. A few of them include the British biographical documentary Control, Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and the French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she is juror at each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
